I can't wait until the next debate, as I'm sure the current events surrounding the president (which of course INGO has dismissed) will lead to more bashing. And rightfully so, if we are to believe what is being reported, at least the bare basics.
Recent history is not on your side there.

Recent history is not on your side there.

    The "bare basics"
-a whistleblower sent up a complaint to IG concerning the president
-Trump-appointed IG finds the complaint credible and urgent, and sends if up to the acting DNI
-rather than forward the complaint to Congress, as he is required to do, DNI refuses

What part isn't believable? But as always, I'm sure most of the True Believers, see nothing wrong with this situation. I can only imagine the heads that would be exploding if Obama had a complaint sent up on him from the intelligence community, and his acting DNI refused to deliver the complaint to Congress. However, when it comes to Trump, it's just Friday.

Yes. I don't watch news much anymore. No one is interested in reporting news. They're interested in reporting hyperbole and partisan bull****. So I pretty much ignore it until I get a whiff of something like this that might be news worthy.

Now that I'm read in, I'll wait and see. If true, it's news worthy. If not, it's just business as usual. So if it's true and genuinely troubling, I'll pay attention. The Steel Dossier was real until it was fake.

Trump will win big in 2020....but the socialists will try to tie it up in court for months.

I hope the entire DNC comes down with a raging case of body crabs and exploding back door trots.

And once again, an anti-Trump lie goes round the world before the truth laces up it's sneakers. Aka: TDS strikes again!!!
The Washington Post quietly reported on Friday evening that a July 25 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky did not contain an explicit quid pro quo if Ukraine launched an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden's son as initially reported.

Investigating corruption by the former vice president that he freely admitted is off limits because... Orange Man Bad.
last year Biden openly bragged about threatening to hurl Ukraine into bankruptcy as Vice President if they didn't fire their top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin - who was leading a wide-ranging corruption investigation into a natural gas firm whose board Hunter Biden sat on.

Big media sees itself in the same light as the Catholic church of medieval Europe, the ultimate arbitrator of right and wrong. Not going along with them is to be denounced as a Cathar or Lollard. Apostates to be condemned and tortured in the inquisition of print and electronics.

Oh jeez. What'd I miss this time? Did he collude with Russians again? Did he grab some *****? :dunno:
I guess the latest from what I can gather is that a case is trying to be made that Trump attempted to put pressure on the Ukrainians to collude with him against Biden.

Biden admittedly put pressure on the Ukrainians first though when he was Obama's Veep to fire a prosecutor that was investigating potential corruption that involved a company his son was affiliated with.

Yeah, I've been following it more since I posted that. Sounds like this one's gonna end up worse for Biden than Trump.

CNN pretty much blows up the "bare basics" in their own coverage:
The whistleblower didn't have direct knowledge of the communications, an official briefed on the matter told CNN. Instead, the whistleblower's concerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work, and those details have played a role in the administration's determination that the complaint didn't fit the reporting requirements under the intelligence whistleblower law, the official said.

Gee another anonymous source who didn't actually witness what he claims. How many times has this happened now? You are right. Just another Friday.

This is why I quit watching the news. They keep getting it wrong because they don't like the reality that is, so they make the news to be reporting on the reality they want.

It's somewhat troubling. I don't know where I heard this quote, and I'm sure I'll butcher it badly, but "The news used to give us the facts and we decided ourselves what to think. Now, the news tells us what we should think and we have to figure out the facts for ourselves."

Where is the media? Breathlessly reporting that a non-witness "whistleblower" "heard something" that sounds bad for the president. Just another Friday.
