I feel like I've reached a milestone. I've read this entire thread without getting angry...except for all the talk about cake...and there's no cake.

They are. Unless you're saying that "whites" needs to specifically stated in such laws, which of course doesn't make any sense.

They are but it's not generally acknowledged by most that they "need" to be protected.

    Why? vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

According to Eric Holder, it is not possible to commit a hate crime against a white person.

The media and most politicians are pushing the "white is inherently bad" narrative. Don't believe that?
Go ask GPIA7R to give you about 1000 links to stories about how "math is white supremacy" "time is white supremacy" "milk is white supremacy" etc. etc.
It's the new hotness in identity politics and it's getting more prevalent.

An example of how ****ed up it has gotten...
This girl took a DNA test to find out what african tribe she was descended from and she FREAKS out and gets angry when she finds out she has european ancestry.

Going out on a limb and going to say that the vast majority media and politicians don't check any of the ethnic minority boxes. So if it's white people suggesting that other white people are inherently bad, that's something ya'll need to handle in-house. ;)

Yes, among libs "white guilt" is a BIG thing. It's a mental problem.

Apparently quite widespread too, infecting government officials, captains of industry, celebrities, educators, and adolescents to name a few. I haven't studied much on it, what percentage of people suffer from this affliction?

This is what happens when you invest so much in making your whole identity be about one thing. I think it's better for people to make their identity be about their character rather than seeking out a tribe. I think she would be more successful at life being a responsible, educated woman of high character, who happens to have some African DNA, than to make the primary attribute of everything she is, being an African American woman of a particular tribe. The latter seems utterly valueless to me.

About her heritage, first, I can look at her and see that there is some white ancestry. Second, why care? Big deal. It's not the worst thing that she can learn about herself. Third, why is it that she acts like she's 100% European? Doesn't the African ancestry on her mother's side count? After all, somewhere along her ancestry, a black dude married a white woman. Why doesn't that count? And why doesn't the ancestry on her paternal side count? It's absurd to count only the maternal ancestry. If it's about tracing her DNA to an African tribe, males have contributed to her DNA too, and it's pretty obvious that she does have some African ancestry. If she's thinks she's 100% European, it's kinda hard to explain her complexion now. Fourth, she's an attractive, reasonably intelligent young lady. There's no reason she can't be successful in life. It would be way more productive for her to focus on making a good life for herself than making so much of her identity fantasy.

Doubtful... this is an example of just how differently we view things. You had an immediate assumption without even really thinking about what you were actually saying.

No. Not really. It's an ideology shared by both black people and white people. It's also virtue signaling. When the cameras are rolling they have a different opinion. For example, the recent exposure of Jim Jefferies in New Zealand by someone who left his phone recording an interview.

Don Lemon is a racist **********.

 Did you even watch the video? I didn't assume that out of thin air. SHE SAID SO! She said like 5 generations ago on her mother's side, a white woman of European descent married a black man.

It sounded to me like she had talked to her mom who probably calmed her down and possibly reviewed the results a little deeper with her, to help her make sense of it. It's possible that she misread what the report was saying, but it sounded to me like the report was saying that her heritage was European all through her maternal side. My point that you objected to was me saying that doesn't sound right to me. Because even if a European woman married a man with African DNA 5 generations ago, her offspring would have African DNA in it.

I found it surprising. I'll just say it like this. It would have been culturally odd for a black man to marry a white woman 4 or 5 generations ago, especially if it were in the U.S. That would have been right round the civil war time period or earlier. I'm not saying it would have been impossible, but would have been quite rare. It was far more common for a white man to have a black concubine and produce mixed race offspring that way. But the way she read the report, it sounded like her maternal side was European down the line.

I don't know a lot about those DNA/heritage tests, so I don't know with what confidence they could determine that it was the mother and not the father who was European 5 generations ago. And like I said, maybe she misread what they were saying about that.

But it's a variation of Stockholm Syndrome, the journalists of no color (JoNCs) hope if they are obsequious enough and suck up to the woke enough that they'll be allowed to eat lunch near the cool kids and maybe not get beat up so much by the TwitterCrips or FacebookBloods

Maybe they're going all National Socialist, you know - if you can't prove that none of your four grandparents were white, then you can't be part of the new master race

It truly sad, mankind allowing itself to be manipulated by minorities. I'm not talking about color, gender or the likes. I'm talking about the power hungry individuals who manipulate the masses into a frenzy for personal gain. "We the people" are their brainwashed armies fighting the battles for them, like a good game of Risk, strategic movement across the globe. The minorities consist of all colors of skin. Black leaders, white leaders, specific ethnic leaders all inciting the crowds, creating little armies battling each other. These leaders have a constant supply manipulating data fed to their armies. When one army is defeated, another is created; topics vary based on need. I truly believe that if left alone, "we the people" would be fine, actually living in some sense of harmony. It's the power hungry individuals and "we the people" are falling for it.

W don't need any hate crime laws, gender specific laws, faith specific laws and such. What we need to do is for everyone to open their eyes and see the manipulation and stop seeing through the eyes of the manipulator.

Imposing something on someone else would be more like a gay couple seeking out a bakery whose owner who disagrees with them so they could force the baker to do the thing he disagrees with. To say that declining to do something is imposing one’s beliefs is essentially taking the position that one has a right to another’s labor.
