    Friend named Danny was always finding dimes. We called him Danny dimes.

    Dime bag darrel but that is not the dimes we are talking about.

    Grandma said finding a dime was someone was looking out for you. Smiling dimes was what she called them.

    Someone is "seeding" them ahead of you so you will be confounded and ask questions of your friends, or else those are mystical coins.
    A very long time ago a coworker got a new little car and started bragging about how good it was on gas. So, we all took turns of putting a half gallon to a gallon in it every day for a month. (Gas was cheaper then) It was hilarious. Still had a 3/4 tank a month latter. We stopped doing it. Oh man he was so upset with how much gas his car was using. Even took it back to dealer and complained multiple times. Every day all we heard was something is wrong with it said running rich, choke must be stuck or carb missed up. We never told him and he traded it off for something that would get better milage.
