You can by clicking their name and "find more posts by..." button. Like everyone has said upthread, "you don't like it, don't buy it." You're complaining about something you have no control over. To top that off, you're acting like every person on here has stuff up for sale at inflated prices. Instead of searching for something, look through the classifieds and see how much stuff is the price it was before the inflation. You see maybe 5-6 things per page and it seems like a lot but that's only about 5-6 out of about 20. So 25-30%?

I'll agree it's annoying. But I just move on when I see the over inflated prices.

I saw a standard vepr (not the super or hunter version) in 54r for sale in the classifieds with a scope and a 440 round tin of 54r for $1500. They sell for $700 bnib. I'd have bought it for a reasonable price, but wow, that's just a nutty asking price, so I didn't even contact the guy.

Just refuse to be a part of the hysteria. Prices will come back down, and there are deals to be had out there. For example, I just picked up a xdm competition bnib for $600. Just have to bypass the bad adds and work with the people who are reasonable.

The thing is, it's usually the people that are wanting to buy (because they didn't plan ahead) that are complaining about the high prices. The people that are selling right now may be making a big profit, but they are also taking a huge risk. It's capitalism. That's it. I'm wondering if all the complainers crying "price gouging!" would rather the federal government setting the prices? I highly doubt it. That's called socialism.

I think you meant to say is that when they were available to be bought that is what they use to sell for, now you cannot get them so people are willing to lots more just so they can have one now instead of later.

Bets? Mods get a TON of ads reported simply because people don't like the price being asked. They would LOVE the mods to come in and set prices. You can imagine how that would go over.

You shouldn't be railing at the guy trying to make a couple of bucks on his sale. You should be condemning the poor planners who encourage the behavior by overpaying for it.

Victor. I think we all hate whats going on right now. I think we all express it in are own ways. Some more vocal then not. Thats what makes this country what it is. Good and Bad. But I can guarntee you that we dont want to live in a third world country. So ill take America in its bad and good days. Things will calm like they always do. Now lets start fixing whats really bad. Milk prices!!!!! Thanks AJ my 2 cents

I have to admit, it makes me sick to see some of the prices for mags and such, but it doesn't help people throwing the money down. That is what they call supply and demand. I just choose not to pay inflated prices, and hopefully the proposed AWB dies, and things will get cheaper. Hang in there and we will see where things are in a couple of months.

I tell you what pisses me off the MOST right now are the people who watched the LAST shortages of 09/10 and who are now pissing and moaning about not being able to find this or that when they had LOTS of opportunity for the last three years to stock up and maintain a supply of stuff that up until a couple of months ago was relatively cheap.

I feel sorry for the noobs who are getting slammed this time around, but when primers were $27/k two years ago and .223 was less than $300 a case there was NO excuse for those who sat through the last one for not buying enough to last for a year or two because we KNEW this exact shortage scenario was likely again due to the election.

"Waaah, I can't find ammo at Wal-Mart right now, and when I do I feel compelled to buy every box they'll sell me." Well sorry, but you should have been buying an extra box each time you (the rhetorical you, not you specifically Scutter) went in for the last three years and stashing it away. YOU are part of the problem, not the people who are selling their stocks at the highest price the market will bear that they bought cheaper over the last three years.

Got no sympathy for the grasshoppers out there.

I agree, don't like the panic which is driving the demand to be out of balance with the supply, and hence the higher prices. I don't blame the folks for making a buck, I just attribute the higher prices to the root cause, which is all of the talk about increased gun control... that's is where the anger should be directed.

Thats the same reason why all our jobs are overseas now. Capitalism. We meed morality-ism. Thats it. I'll shut up. Night y'all.

Morality-ism???? There is nothing imoral about charging what the market will bear. We are talking about volluntary transactions here, nobody is being forced to do anything.

Capitalism is what produced the best standard of living for the largest percentage of a population that has ever existed. Unfortunately, what we have today is not free market capitalism, crony-capitalism, mercantileism, socialism, or just a corrupt manipulated cesspool, but not free market capitalism.

Cheap labor was available overseas long before our jobs started going there, but that was before the 40,000 page tax code and even fatter regulatory encyclopedia, unions insisting on paying people not to work, and a spoiled rotten gereration that wouldn't know a work ethic if they tripped over it. I have been on the receiving end of OSHA inspections, EPA inspections, work comp inspections, and if you had too you would know why no one wants to set up shop in this country.
