I carry a 4" (service model) XD OWB with just a tshirt over it. Prints a little, but it doesn't matter in Indiana.

Practicality and the ability to actually be able to fight with my handgun rather than for be "extra comfy". With a decent belt and holster, you can comfortably carry a full size handgun all day.

Since you'll be new to carrying, please watch this video by Jeff Cooper, it'll give valuable insight on carrying, mindset and handgun selection:

Yes, it's the same video I posted a few days ago.

I have a Walther PPK, I carry it with an inside the pant holster in the back I like it alot. Not the smallest though. I also carry a Taurus PT145, Like it alot it just doesn't conceal very well. I like the 10 rounds though.

My EDC is a G27 is either a Blade-Tech (the current equivalent is their "Ultimate Concealment" IWB or a Raven Concealment Systems IWB for the Glock. I've worn either holster with a t-shirt, although I don't normally wear just a tee. I've found that I need at least an inch bigger trouser waistband to be comfortable with my IWB, but I don't carry any other way on a regular basis.

I would look at the 4" XD either 9mm or 40 S&W. I prefer the 40 for the stopping power. I wear mine in the center of my back and the full size handle has not ever been an issue. It is occasionally visible if you are looking for it, but prefer to carry the 4 in. It is not much heavier and doesn't have a noticeably different feel. If I have to pull it I would rather have something full size and full power than something that is extremely comfortable and easy to carry.

so im going to be old enough to carry in about a year and a month or so, i just want to ask every one about what they conceal carry with just a t-shirt. i have been looking at a xd45 compact, glock 26 and 30, and kimber pro carry 2. i am open to anything but like i said i mostly wear a t-shirt.

I found it easy to conceal a glock 26 owb with a tshirt if one uses the glock combat holster.

It's about what you will actually carry ( and are comfortable with) on a regular basis. I am a smaller framed guy, and it's hard to hide all but smaller weapons. I wont pick one for you, there are a lot of good options. Look at them all, be safe, and have fun.

I carry a M&P40c IWB at 4:00 daily. I've got slightly larger hands so I put the pinky extensions on all my mags but with them the grip is perfect for me. Though I'm taller than many (6'3") I'm still considered smaller framed weighing in 200lbs. Since I'm this tall I have to buy XL shirts for their length, so they do fit me pretty loose. I generally wear t-shirts and polos and have never had anyone (to my knowledge) even notice that I'm carrying. I also carry this way at work (which isn't allowed) and havn't had anyone notice there either. I know it's a cheaper brand than many are comfortable with, but I use a HighNoon Split Decision holster and absolutely love it. It's made well and has a minimal amount of material and also allows for a shirt to be tucked in (which I don't often do anyway). I've never had any problems out of this holster what-so-ever.
