Way less than $300, but I carry a CRKT M16-13LE (3.5inch blade folder). Haven't gotten EDC-ing a fixed blade. Best believe I'm strapping one on once motorcycle season is back, though!

I'll throw Daniel Koster knives into the mix
I purchased one of his small fixed blades about 3 years ago and I still tote it everyday
You can look him up on Blade forums
