If they did all vote GOP, they might find out just how much more is done for them and stay with the GOP.

Well, let's take a look at the modern setting. After 6 years with a (half) African American POTUS, exactly WHAT has been done to help 'his' Black Community?

Obamacare? Sorry, the day that started, there were (approximately) 30 million uninsured Americans, of all persuasions. When it's all 'in place' (like that will ever happen with that fiasco), there will STILL be (approximately) 30 million uninsured Americans, of all persuasions. And those that have insurance are and/or will be paying much more for it. A complete and dismal failure.

Is crime down on the South Side of Chicago, the Liar-In-Chief's adopted home town? Nope, it's worse than ever.

Is Detroit headed back to it's 'glory days'? Nope, it's still a burned-out :poop: hole.

Is illegal immigration under ANY sort of control? Nope.

Are more African-Americans now working, and working better-paying jobs? Nope.

Has his interference in local tragedies (Ferguson, Zimmerman case, etc.) helped 'bring together' those communities and the nation? Nope, those communities are more divided than ever, as is the nation.

Have his Socialist views provided ANY positive benefit to African-Americans? Nope.

Have his Socialist views provided ANY positive benefit to the nation-at-large? Nope.

Have his Socialist views helped bring calm to the Middle East? Nope, ISIS started on HIS watch AFTER he withdrew troops.

Have his Socialist views brought America closer together with Israel? Nope.

Have his Socialist views and apologetic cow-towing stopped Iran in their pursuit of nuclear weapons? Nope, they're MUCH further along.

Has the Liar-In-Chief actually done ANYTHING that in ANY manner benefits the United States? Nope.

Gee, I wonder if African-Americans (or anyone else) should keep trusting this loon or his crony party?

Your post is chalked full of FAIL. Blacks shouldn't expect a president that shares their race, to "look out" for them, anymore than whites should expect a white president to look out for their interests.

True. Blacks shouldn't have the above-stated expectations..........but many did! And, by they way, that's chock full.

If there are no expectations, why do the majority of them vote Democrat?

I know when I vote for someone I have expectations... of improving the economy/jobs creation, support 2nd amendment, get illegal immigration under control, defend our interests/security abroad...

I didn't vote for the current president, but I do not think we are getting any of the things I expect... maybe the Obama voter has different expectations.

Really? Obama phones. Free healthcare. Free school. There was this feeling of "finally, we're getting what we deserve". Then they found out they were just used to win an election and it's the same old thing again and again.

It's a shame that they are used as pawns, but they are. I think there is really starting to be a realization of this and hopefully they will stand up to the pandering. The point that they disenfranchise themselves is quite profound.

the black congressman who slammed repubs for opposing Lynch voted against Condi Rice. Dems trash any black conservative or Republican. Look at what they do to Allen West, Clarence Thomas, etc. they throw the most vile attacks because people are republican and black. Like that's an offense to their race or something.

Don't forget the black woman on a video saying Obama is going to help her pay the mortgage and buy gas.

Yeah, she didn't say that. That woman, Peggy Joseph, is a registered nurse, educated, lives in a good home, and has since gone on record against Obama.... and her mortgage has gotten worse. Her exact words were that she "wouldn't have to worry about" paying her mortgage or putting gas in her car. Things which I would think many would assume, that in the midst of a recession, many people do worry about, and if one attributed the economic climate at the time, to the previous administration, then one would be hopeful that the candidate they supported, would turn the economy around meaning that they would not longer "worry" about putting gas in their car or paying their mortgage.
The narrative put out on Ms Joseph, by some, reeks of bias based on stereotypes.

Hopefully, in post-racial America, both parties have learned that bad presidents can come from any race.

I applaud Stephen A's challenge to voters. I've heard the idea floated before, but he has a very wide audience.

In fact, very anti-Obama now and "admitted that she had gotten caught up in the historical moment of Barack Obama’s election and wasn’t thinking for herself."

Whatever the case, it's just not a sign of a rigorous thought process for an entire population to vote in the mid to high 90 percentage for a single political party, time and time again.
It's the whole putting all the eggs in one basket thing.
Identity politics is even more corrosive, the very idea of someone voting for a candidate because of his/her race, ethnicity, or sex is about as mindless as it gets.
    It's total groupthink.

It's easy to play identity politics when the other side has so many members that are prone to saying things rooted in bias.

...or when one side deliberately twists the words of their opposition and even imputes nefarious thoughts into the heads of their opponents.

You don't even need to twist words, they'll say exactly what they mean. I can go one for days illustrating the ignorant and hateful words spewed by Republican officials. Why would anyone, in the group being referred to, ever consider switching parties?
