Some years ago at the show, I was looking at a simi-auto thompsom.
Well I pick up a drum mag and slap it in!

Anyone who knows Thompson's (I didnt) knows what happened...:dunno:

The drum went right through the mag slot and bounced down the hallway for 50 feet till it hit the wall!...the seller wasnt happy with me fer sure

:D That's a good one. I'll have to file that away, just in case.

On a Thompson, the drum slides in from the side, it doesnt go in from the bottom, like modern mags, and there is no stop anywhere, at least on the one I was handling, so it went right on through...:dunno:

My not-so horrible 1500 moment came a few years ago. A table had some Tec-9s, and a young kid asked another guy if they could be converted to full-auto, then he asked me when the first guy brushed him off. Since I was pretty sure those Tec-9s weren't in the registry, I gave him a quick lecture on the laws that applied and on being careful about who he chooses to ask questions.
