I stated Earlier that I verify someones Citizenship before I hire them to do a Job for me.

And there lies the problem ladies and gents!

So every store, every restaurant, every business you walk into, you obtain complete documentation on the citizenship of their entire workforce before you will do business with them? Because any time you transact business, you are in effect hiring the people of that business to provide you with the goods or services you desire. You never know, the guy washing dishes at the local BBQ might be illegal, and you wouldn't want to aid and abet.

If you don't do that, and maintain the records for proof, and follow up every time you do repeat business with said concerns, you are a hypocrite.

The fact is, ALL of us take it as read that the vast majority of businesses we work with have done the things they need to do to stay legal. I know this for a fact, because I know you can't even walk into a Taco Bell and demand to see the employee list unless you're a cop with a warrant. They'll tell you to **** off, and rightly so.

The vast problem that the borders are not safe. For those who think that Hispanic are the minority that is getting through, think again. There is a huge problem with other ethnic groups crashing our borders. Paying big bucks to mules to get them into the U.S. A good number of these people are terroists. Take a little time to search the internet. Also Indiana has adopted laws concerning Illegals. Try to get the someone down to take them back, there are too busy (really)

Nice to see you jump into the thread and twist it up again...

While yes I am paying a Restaurant or Store for Services Rendered. I am not hiring them to Work for me. So I do not need to know if they are happy supporting criminal activity. And yes If I find out a Store, Restaurant, Roofer, Concrete, Seed Dealer, Fertilizer Dealer, etc, etc... hires Illegal Immigrants I will not do business with them again. I vote with my Dollars.

A very muddy and arbitrary differentiation IMO. We all do what we can to make sense of it all so we can sleep at night I guess, but I'm not the one calling you a criminal.

You are the one that Originally asked what I thought should Happen IF YOU hired an Illegal Immigrant. You are the one who has gotten in a tiff repeatedly over it...

My Conscience is clean, and I sleep quite soundly without the need to fabricate justifications for how I live...

The problem isn't the flies, it's the honey.

How to create an immigration problem.

    1) set up socialist state that gives away money and bene's to everyone.
    2) Leave borders open
    3) Set up laws with strict immigration regulation
    4) Refuse to enforce laws
    5) Use failed progressive income tax system to collect taxes from everyone except illegal immigrants.

Sit back and watch the fireworks.

This is an utterly arbitrary distinction.

But it is a HUGE distinction.
I cannot, as you very well know, even ask to have the Employees at say Taco Hell Verify that the are Americans, or have a Legal Immigration Status.
I can however have you as a Contractor verify that all Your employees are here legally though. And do on a very regular basis.
I can also refuse to do Business with whomever I choose to.
