    As I had asked before...

If you think the 1911 was designed to be carried in Condition 1 over any other condition...prove it!

    Show me what is fact!

Sweetie, I've never said anything other than your claim that you had a "Study" showing that removing the safety on a 1911 is slower than not was complete and utter BS.

Sadly, just like every other keyboard warrior you got yourself stuck on that one segment and have yet to let it go. You're giving lots of opinions as facts and expect everyone to believe it as so, but you're unwillingto allow anyone else the same luxury. IT's called being a hypocrite.

Everyone KNOWS that in episode 22 of "Ultimate Marvel Alternate Union of Absolute Heroes of the Universe + Capcom" that the ORIGINAL pistol weilded by Dr. Evil in the Dome of Secrecy did not have a safety AT THAT TIME.

It was knocked out of his hand into the depths of the Arctic, and subsequent issues had the gun with the safety.

    Obviously. Psssh.

    NERDS. All of you. :rockwoot:

    Is spelling trivial details? ;)

    Just kidding.

OD... yes. Spelling is a trivial detail :)

Actually I knew it was wrong, but didnt care enough to reach over to the mouse and use the spell check.

Does that mean I am lazy? I think so.

I'd like to see someone substantiate that it's good practice and safe to carry any handgun with the external safety in the off position.:dunno:

Everyone can have their own study...
But for you to tell me that my findings are BS just isn't accurate.

    Ok, how about this...

From the testing and study I have observed, it is my opinion that the facts of the results show that while it may be slight, slim or non concerning to some, there is a slower response while using a 1911 in condition 1 over condition 0.*

*Not a scientific study and has not been approved by any government agency.

Mines always ready to go. And personally, I dont count the trigger safety as a "safety"

Use your brain and keep it in a holster with a good trigger guard.

That's one of the scariest photos I've ever seen. And not just because of the hair.:D
I don't think I've ever actually seen the bullet in the bore, in a photo, before.

I think this thread has decended to a new level.

Some guy who recently got his first gun, who has drawings of HIMSELF on the wall <WTF?> , points a loaded Glock at the camera, is telling someone with as much experiance and training and bullets downrange as Bwframe....

to use his brain and which holster to buy.

I just spit coffee everywhere, truly, in real life.

This is now my favorite thread EVER!

    WOOO! :rockwoot:

I am going to rep Edbean just for that, he is now my favorite INGO poster.

1.) Not my first gun. I dont have as much as some, but id like to think my lifetime collection is pretty decent. Hunted all my life, killed my first goose when I was 5. I appreciate that you are so interested in my life though.

2.) My neighbor is an artist and drew both of those for me. If you would like a 360 shot of my room you would see those were my only two portraits.

3.) I am alone in my house, and pointed a gun at a camera. Last time I checked I couldnt shoot you via .jpeg.

4.) Do you see my finger? My brain told me to keep it off the trigger. I get these ideas when im lucky enough to have a brain cell randomly collide with another.

5.) Never told anyone to do anything. In fact, earlier in the thread I said this thread is stupid and relates to OC vs CC. Personal preff. Do what you want... I never tell anyone what to do. Just sharing my own personal opinions.

    Thanks for the rep!!!!!!!!!

...this reminds me of all the people on youtube that show everyone their weapon is cleared, bahahahahah, who gives a ****!!!!!!

Thank you for your "helpful" opinions.

Again, maybe a bit more clearly...

Then start your own thread if you want to discuss specifically that, the thread was started to discuss how people carry in regards to being cocked and locked. I carry a DA/SA with no safety and as such is relevant in this thread, so when you brought up carrying unsafed that would be the same as carrying without a safety and interjected my opinion/question. People carry with firearms all the time that simply do not have a safety so in a way that substantiates the safety of it. Any idiot with a clean background can carry a gun, and as such have a ND and shoot someone which is more unsafe than carrying cocked and locked IMO or carrying period for that matter.
