I must admit...I'm a M&P junky. I carried my M&P .40c for around 3 years, loved it. Then I moved on to a M&P PRO 9, didn't carry much as I broke my habit with a Glock 30 that Iv carried for around 2 years now. I am sorry to say... I'm a user... My addiction has gotten the best of me again. Today I mailed payment for my soon to be carry a VTAC 9. I..I just can't control myself...I find myself surfing YouTube videos like a porn addled perv...I need help...pray for me! Or send ammo that helps to.:patriot:

I'll say a prayer for you Dirtball. I've bought 8-10 guns in the last year. My friends and family are talking about doing an intervention. I feel you man.

My friends are enablers, my family thinks it's funny, my wife stages the interventions.
LOL My wife says I need to stop. My 76 yo mother asked, "How many handguns do you have now?" When I told her 19 (2 are my wifes), She says, "Oh, that's enough." She asked if I had one of those rifles like my brother, (AR15), I told her no, but I've been looking. She smiles. I only have 16 long guns, I probably need to get balanced again.

I can tell you don't really want help because if you did, you wouldn't look for it here

Well, I would say INGO is to blame for at least half of my purchases. At least since February. So this is not a good place to go for help to stop buying firearms. Somehow I feel like I :hijack:

Ive purchased 7 guns since August of 2012, so I can understand the addiction. Matter of fact, its been about 7 months since my last purchase, and I'm tweaking a bit. Ive been eyeing a RIA1911 tactical in45acp to fulfill the high.

Wow! Can I ever sympathize here... Wife got (not angry) just really irritated with me a couple months ago for spending $700 on a 1974 Colt Commander (.45 ACP).
When she asked me why I felt a 40 yr. old gun was worth $700, when I could have bought new. My response was, "IT'S A COLT!! It's a 70 sreies... And , I want a new EDC gun. It's used, but in very good condition." She just frowned & shook her head.
I kinda felt like I was talking to Peanut from the Jeff Dunham act. NNNYEEEEEW! (over her head):):

Coming to INGO for help with this issue is like going to a bar for help with alcoholism :D

When I was stationed in South Korea back in 96-97/00-01 and 02/04-08/04, I used to hang out at this bar called the Silver Star. We had a saying....."Drunks go to bars, Alcoholics go to meetings, Outlaws go to meetings at a bar."

    Sounds very familiar here...lol.

I'm glad to say I've restrained myself since July. I'm saving up for something bad. Big purchase for me coming up around Xmas. Now I just change my mind daily on what I want.

I like my M&P40 (loaned to a friend currently), but I LOVE my Glock 23. To each their own. Ergonomics=Smith and Wesson. Point shooting (for me) is the Glock. I'm just more natural with it. I wish I could say that about the M&P I really do.

About 6 months ago I took my fiancé to the range, they had a S&W 500 stubby Bear Kit I asked to see. As my eyes lit up, she asked me what I needed that for, I told her need has nothing to do with it, that is a handful of awesome and I want it. As we left she asked me or made more of a statement, you would have bought that if I wasn't here wouldn't you...my reply "damn straight I would have"

I feel the exact same way about the M&P40!! Nothing fits better for me than Smith! Never cared for the feel of a Glock, even though quite a few of my friends swear by them.

I recently became single cause of my firearms addiction , it's what I like doing . Would rather do this instead of p*ssing it down the drain at a bar .

I try to justify it by telling my wife that guns hold their value better than just about any other commodity you can buy. I'm not a collector so they may not all be considered an investment, but at least you can get most of your money back out of them if you need to.

 Yep. My wife is bugging the snot out of me to get her a nice SLR camera. So I drop $800 - $1000 on a camera that is worth about $300 the minute it is taken out of the box and $50 as soon as the next model comes out. Last year she wanted a big screen TV. :spend: She lost her diamond out of her engagement ring this summer. So I am going to pony up and drop some coin on getting that replaced. Well worth it in my opinion but the ring will not be worth anything near what I will pay for it.

If it were up to me I would cancel cable and just watch netflix on my computer. Or better yet buy a tablet to take pictures and watch the news. Then I could buy more guns.

Guns - Guns have value. Maybe not full retail price mind you, but they always have value. If I buy a $500 Glock and then sell it for $450 am I really out that much? Truthfully other then the ammo and support equipment the firearms hobby is pretty inexpensive. Of course I have a small fortune tied up in belts, holsters, mags and ammo so that argument really does not work for me.

I ramped up purchases of handguns and rifles when BHO was first elected. The ATF came out to my house with the local sheriff. The agent wanted to know why I was buying so many guns. I told him that my sons and I are going to be going to the range in Newcastle and that we were going to become very good shots. I told him to put me at the top of the list he was making because I was one of those people clinging to my religion and my guns. He laughed, but I am pretty sure I made the list.

I have not really slowed down, but they have not been back. I think there's too many of us to keep track of now. That's probably what that new facility in Utah is for.
