No mention of Yats yet? They have a few locations now around indy (and one in Chicago I think), but it had been a single location in Broad Ripple until they started expanding in the last few years. The entrees are a great value at 5.75 for a pile of rice covered in one of their great stew/gumbos type entrees (Chicken Maque Choux and Drunken Chicken are my favorites). The menu rotates frequently (daily for some entrees) so it's always fun to see what new item Joe (the owner) has come up with.

I'm a big fan of Dave's Pizza in Danville, or the Pizza Den out at heritage lake.

I'm also a fan of Liz's Country Cafe in North Salem. Its about as Mom N Pop as it gets :yesway: And very good

Nick's Kitchen is credited with being the birthplace of the breaded tenderloin!!!

Not the "same" family that ran it all those years ago, but the same name and the same location.

Surely I'm not the only one on here that loves to cook and eat.

I always like to go to the off the beaten bath places to eat, you know like the ones Guy Fieri goes to on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. We all travel around a little bit for whatever reason, let's help each other out with some good "hometwon secrets".

I've got a couple...Mousies Cafe in Connersville...killer Black Diamond steaks and bar food and the draft beer is always ice cold. When I was on the road working, we ate at The Old Bank in Linton...$5 for an order of Calamari and the New York Strips were insane.
