Yep, no defendant wants to exercise his right to a speedy trial. The longer the time passes, the more the memories fade, evidence gets lost and the smoke and mirrors get more powerful.

Insisting on a speedy trial was one of the factor's in O.J.'s murder acquital.

And here I thought it was poor police work and an inadequate prosecutor(s), along with his celebrity status.

Those too, but time to take a step back and investigate further and actually plan a prosecution would have helped immensely....oh, and trying the case in Santa Monica.

Bryan Truitt's a good man. we went to law school together. Smart guy. Hard worker.

It looks like he is taking a page from my play book on the jury selection, or it's just great minds think alike as he's probably never seen my motions in this regard.

curious: would that remove the ability to still ask questions openly during a jury screening or can you have it both ways (questionnaire and open jury selection questioning)?

He's gonna testify against the Sheriff?

    That's gonna get good.

It's been too long since this appeared on INGO...
