First time getting harassed over OC

Well I am glad I came across this. I moved back here from Michigan. I never got into guns until I moved to Michigan, you move there and need a pickup and shotgun...lol There you could open carry without your license, I thought it was the same here. Well hopefully I will get my Indiana license soon, been 3.5 weeks since I went to the South bend pd.

Given the differences in the law, I'll gladly take, "OC req. a license" over MI's registry, excluded places and BAC law.

I can at a college, a church, a hospital, a stadium, a bar and have a drink...

Glad to hear you came back. Did you apply for the lifetime? Word on the street they will be getting rid of the lifetime license but if you have it you will be grandfathered in.

Yes I did. Its been almost 4 weeks since I was at the SBPD, so I called today. He says he would be wrapping it up soon. I dont plan on leaving for Michigan again. I do miss the whole walking into a gun store and leaving with a gun. The whole background check with every purchase, sucks. I have a very common name and get delayed, every single time.

I hear you there, just wish I could carry now. Should be soon. But I liked the fact that when I had my cpl, I didnt have to wait for a background check, with every purchase.

I lived in Michigan for about 9 years, I am back in Indian and awaiting my ltch, but yes in Michigan, its a cpl...
