Flu shot my butt

I've had a flu shot and a pneumonia shot.

I still feel like garbage.

It's being reported that this years flu shot is only about 25& effective. Seem,s the strain going around this year has mutated from what it was when they developed the vaccine.
They still suggest you get the shot.

yes, but that's not where I got the shots.
I spent a few days in the hospital in September, got the shots after surgery.
I guess I'm that age when you get a pnemonia shot after anesthetic.

Ahhhh, the reason I guessed is that they are pushing Pneumonia shots hard this year at the VA.

I am seeing a lot of people with upper respiratory illnesses, headaches, cough. Most are testing negative for influenza. Perhaps you need some Growacet?

My entire family has had that b!tch of a headcold in the last 3 weeks - messed my sinuses up so much that I was diagnosed with an ear infection for the first time since I was a little kid.

But a head cold isn't influenza.

And even with reported 52% of flu samples taken not in this year's vaccine cocktail, that means 48% are, which means I'm still very happy to have gotten the flu shot...just like I do every year. Caveat emptor and all that...

The first two were, unless the doc lied and just ENJOYED shoving a 5ft long Q-tip up my nose to dig out the junk behind my eyeball! The next time (last flu shot ever for me!!) I didn't even go. It was exactly the same (symptoms). I called the fam doc (at that time) and they just called in a script to the pharmacy for the same thing I'd been prescribed before.
