Fox News co-owner funded ‘Ground Zero mosque’ imam: report | Raw Story

The second largest shareholder in News Corp. -- the parent company of Fox News -- has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to causes linked to the imam planning to build a Muslim community center and mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan.

Prince Al-Waleed owns an estimated $2.5-billion-worth of News Corp. Majority shareholder Rupert Murdoch recently took a stake in the prince's Middle East-based media conglomerate, Rotana Group.

WOW this is soooo funny WAY to GO FOX NEWS!!!!!

This decision had nothing to do with Fox News. It had only to do with the individual, Prince Al-Waleed who owns a large portion of the stock. The Prince owns a portion of Fox, not the other way around. When stock is made available to the public the seller has no choice in who purchases it.

I expect this will be played up big by the left leaning media so as to imply that somehow the viewers of Fox News are by proxy responsible for building the mosque at ground zero.

Seems like a pretty misleading title to this thread.

An investor, who apparently owns about 7% of the company, happens to be a Saudi Prince.

He does not control the news or the reporting by FOX.

There seems to be no evidence that FOX was behind the Iman or even knew that one of its investors was behind the Iman.

Dude, you are slipping with your conspiracy theories. Where are the aliens? Where is the CIA? Where is the stunning revelation that Obama and Rupert Murdoch are actually secret twin brothers?

Two points: I would have thought $2.5B to be much more than 7% and when expressed as a percentage like that, it makes about as much "news" as a 7% shareholder in Colgate buying a tube of Crest because it's on sale.

    You're stretching, dude.

The Saudi prince has no authority in Saudi Arabia, no controlling shares in News Corp and is not on the board of directors. Much todo about nothing but the left are all over this on other boards.

Sorry but you are making all sorts of illogical jumps to connect dots.

It was a FOX owned company that 'broke' this story.

Further FOX has been critical of this Iman.

So where is it that the investor, who happens to be Saudi, is actually influencing anything when the evidence suggests that FOX is the most critical network, exposed itself, and the other networks seem to have no interest in the story.

Seems that people are seeing a conspiracy where there is only circumstance.

If you guys can't see what's obviously right in front of your faces, I don't know how me and What Happened can ever convince you. WH, like all prophets, you are a voice alone in the Wilderness.

Along with these oh so obvious FOX connections, look closely at the "sheik" in the picture. Looks suspiciously like Bono. Explain that away, you smarty-pantsers.
