No surprise, after seeing the gaggle of statists he uses to program the thoughts of conservatives. If this doesn't wake up his viewers, nothing ever will.

But what is their viewers alternative? Joining the hypnotized masses on the Left isn't an option. Hopefully they will see the Libertarian path.

As awful as it is to say, CNN has been the most balanced recently.

MSNBC is so far to the left, they have fallen off and fox has been taken over by mourdock and o'rielly goons.

Really, cable news is all crap. It's time to abandon all of them. You won't find anything without some sort of spin on any of them.

^^Exactly. I gave up watching TV/Cable news ages ago and am better off for it. The internet provides a lot of different sources and an intelligent person can apply the appropriate filters. I have no use for CNN, NBC or Fox news.

I used to Enjoy Special Report when it was hosted by Brit Hume. He kept the end session debates well moderated imho, and was fairly non-partisan in his steering of the discussion. Baier either lacks the talent to do so, or has gotten marching orders.

Try NPR. Most of the opinion programs lean to the left, but opinion is clearly labeled as such. News programs scrupuously give equal time to both sides (they track it by the second). Voices from both sides are treated with respect. Nobody tells you when to be outraged - they respect the listener enough to allow them to make their own decisions. What a concept!

Fox News... the illusion of choice

It's only an illusion if you allow it to be. Most news I watch barely scratches the surface on a story. It's all quick clips and then an equal amount of advertising. So you are left to use the internet to get more background if desired.

Bret Baier is young, and can't be compared to a seasoned pro like Brit Hume. He does appear to be coming along though. Fox has its share of libs, 'ya just gotta see through them.

    Bill O'Reilly loves gun control

Murdoch's freedom-hating front man agrees with his boss. That's why Murdoch puts Bill O'Reilly on prime time, five nights a week. Weak minded Republicans watch copious hours of this tripe and end up as statist neocons, just like Murdoch.

People have this impression that Fox News is the alternative to statism. This is by design. Fox News is merely a medium to control the opposition, keeping them rallying around Establishment candidates and dwelling on statist ideas.

O'Reilly supports the Clinton Assault Weapon Ban.

O'Reilly pushes for FBI surveillance of ammo purchasers.

O'Reilly says it is legal to disarm gun owners during bad weather.

I would say that a big part of it is the difference between being young and relatively unsure of yourself and facing down retirement, loaded down with life experience, and having little to lose by telling people to **** off if it comes to that.

There is absolutely nothing of value to be gained by watching the news on TV or listening to it on the radio.

O'Reilly also thinks that Christianity is a philosophy and not a religion......

Take his words with a bucket of salt, half a fifth of tequila an a 5lb bag of limes.

 If O'Reilly wants to find a pinhead, he needs look no farther than the mirror. Where there is a deity, there is a religion. That simple!
