I think I am going to start shooting different classes for the next few times out. All I have ever done in the past is Single Stack and maybe I got bored, I don't know. I tried Revolver class last time and had fun, this time I think I'll shoot Open. This will be another first for me :)

What will you bring to shoot open?

I'm going and shooting production with a CZ 75 Shadow T.

Yes. I asked around for you, but no one in my squad knew you. I was in Tom's squad.

I did terrible....but I was probably asking too much for my second time shooting my first ever 1911 at my first ever action shooting event.:)

When someone is just starting out a new discipline, it is not wise to watch the scores. Shoot a whole match without safety issues, shoot a whole match without proceedural issues, shoot a whole match without any misses, Shoot a whole match without putting bullet holes in no shoot targets. THEN start watching the scoreboard. You will get a lot more fun out of it and become a better shooter more quickly. No one needs the pressure of the scores making you forget the foundational principles.

    Good Luck

Agreed... This was a benchmark & nothing more. The other things are more difficult to teach. Speed can come with time & practice!

2nd time for FNS. Great time, improved my performance. Greg and Allen, great to meet both of you. Greg, don't worry about 1st time, you will do better. I met some new people, had fun and improved - can't ask for much more than that. Great job by Tom as RO for our squad and great job by everyone at MCF&G. My son and I plan to be back for the next one!

Tom's squad was by far "The Best" squad.
