So...why do they use the G36 instead of the HK416?

Because the G36 (mid-90s) precedes the 416 (early 2000s) in evolutionary terms. Replacing a service weapon, even Germany's, costs a lot of geld.

The uproar may cause the Heer to adopt the 416. We shall see.

I'm going on 4 hours asleep and two monster energy drinks. I have no frigging clue why I was thinking Day instead of Drei.

    Dreimal Hoch?

Sometimes I wonder about Kraut weapons.

German weapons are some of the most over-engineered on earth.

If you have ever seen a G11, you will know what I mean.

Polymer service weapons...making the butt stroke the last thing you do. Fits nicely with the weapons name too!

    Sarge...I broke my rifle!

Im still pretty new but I take it you glock guys will turn anything into a glock thread. How long before we see the "if glock made the g36 it wouldn't malfunction" quote? Come to think of it, if it had an unsupported chamber it wouldn't Jam so easy.
