I figured Michele Obama would be the "saviour" in the 11th hour, when something medical happened to Joe. Close enough to the election that shock won't wear off in time for anyone to delve into policy and such.

Could be Newsome, just as easy. Same deal. Closer to election, to not have a bunch of time to dwell on the terrible things he has done to Cali.

The pro abortion crowd across the country, paired up with the militant anti-gunners (and of course the NeverTrumpers,) could well be a really really tough adversary for us to beat. Especially if they are writing up ballots as they need them, like in the past.

Personally, I would like to thank Newsom for this move. It is the only way to ensure that the "nobody wants to take your guns" lie finally dies. And I've been begging the anti-2A crowd to put up or shut up for years.
