Here's two cartridges from my collection. On the left is a steel cased 7.92x33mmK, and on the right is a 1950 Czech issue brass cased 9x19mm. The 7.92mm has a St. abbreviation, the 9mm has a six pointed star.

Nice pics, CarmelHP. Here's a few pics from my collection. I included the rifle ammo because it's currently the only German ammo that I have that's brass cased and because it's pretty cool.

That is definitely the same as the star of David. Regular stars only have five points usually. Edit: I see some have five and some have six pointed stars in the same box??

Just speculation, but maybe it is a cruel joke by the Nazis against the Jews they were lining up to see how many heads an 8mm round would penetrate through wouldn't put it past them. Getting killing by a round stamped with a Star of David.
