I love my G23, but somehow always end up carrying my G22 hog. :dunno: I have fired a few 27's, they are small, they are awesome, just not for me.

No one has yet mentioned the XD .40 Subcompact. You can get this gun for a good price, comes with the Springfield Armory name, and accessories out of the box. Small size and numerous options.....

Not sure if Smith and Weson makes a M&P 40 Compact - I can't say enough for my M&P 9C - great concealable weapon. I know it comes in a 45 - not sure about the 40

My friend has a Walther PPS in .40 and he loves it. The gun is super duper slim and pretty lightweight. He hasn't had any problems with his.

One of the best-carrying .40 S&W pistols out there, in my opinion, would be the Kahr CW-40 or their P-40.

Very thin, light, and 6+1 capacity.

They also have the PM-40 which is even smaller.

yes, they are down on capacity on the G-27 and the M&P...but they're MUCH thinner and lighter. Trade-offs on everything.

I agree on the G27. I'm sure there is a lot of stuff cheaper, but mine has been great. I also love the versatility with the different mags as I've posted on various threads here before... :draw:

yep it comes in .40. I agree, its a sweet gun. My choice would be between the M&PC, G23,27, and maybe the XD-sc

The XD 40sc is a great little gun. The first time I shot one I center punched the target. You can get Pearce grip extensions for the 10 rd mags, and the 12 rd mag gives you a full size frame grip.

You'd be well off with anything mentioned so far. We all have our personal preferences; get what feels the most comfortable and fits your needs.
