Went down to atterbury for a bit this evening. Saw everything but a yote.

Just got back in. Nothing. Saw a few mice, a rabbit, and a deer. Didn't hear any or see any.

They're a little more expensive, but I like the fact that they adjust with one hand and basically self level. When I shot the two yesterday, I was standing while I was scanning. When I got ready to shoot, I pulled the trigger on the tripod and dropped down to a kneeling position.

I'm liking this thread! I'm sure that thermal unit is nice rookie. I'm yet to play with one but I hear they are amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do as it gets in to better weather for them!

Very nice, I am still looking at thermals but for now just using a 700 lumen red light mounted to my colt m4. It worked nicely last night, got one! Can't wait to go again as there are plenty around here, going to upgrade my call as well. Thanks for the report and info!

They did not want to cooperate last night. We hit quite a few spots and couldn't get a reply on any of them. We went to one spot, and my partner and I walked right by one without realizing it. KJQ saw it. We called for quite a while and he wouldn't come close enough. There ended up being a second one that came out and the two started playing grab ass in the middle of the field.

Now I'm working on convincing my wife that I need night vision so I can scan easier when we're walking in.
