Isn't the 7.62x25 basically the same, ballistics wise as the 327 Magnum?

There are some similarities, but also quite a few differences. I'm not an expert, so I won't try to sound like one, but the main differences being bottlenecked rimless versus straight-walled rimmed (revolver cartridge basically). Also the .327 develops 2000 fps out of a rifle, and 1500 fps with a 100 grain bullet out of a revolver. I don't know a lot about the 7.62x25. Here's a few links that know more than I do:

I have had a GP 100 357 magnum for many years. 4" barrel. I have found this to be a very accurate gun. Only problem I ever had was the front sight is held by a spring which got loose once, easy fix. Has always been a very reliable gun. I would recommend it.
