It appears that there is no interest for any additional items at this time.
4sarge do you still want the 2 car antennas?
I'm not planning on getting the car antenna afterall. I'm ok with the radio the way it is and having it at home since I don't travel that much.
Otherwise it's just him sending the adapters that were missing.

No, but Thanks, I'll pass if no one else is interested :yesway:

One person should program the radio for your area then email the file to the others in the area. Rather than have everyone do it themselves.

Its easier to modify the programming than it is to enter all 100 memories.

    My 2 cents.

Oh but what would be the fun if they all did not learn how to program their own radio! :D

Has not failed our "instructor" has not even come by to pick up his radio.
However I've figured it out and it's easy so the people that have picked up their radios have already begun to play and program their own espeically the ones from "other regions (ie. south bend)".

I was planning on doing yours unless you want to try it out yourself.
Was even thinking of going hi-tech and making a youtube video!

I would be interested in Two Radios also ... how many do you need for the $50 price break?

    @3steps and radar8756
Here is the cost break down from the vendor I went with.
Others here on INGO have also used him so he is good 2 go.

Shipping is free on all of them
    $53.50 for less than 5
    $51.90 for less than 7
    $51.41 for less than 14
    $50.40 for 14+

Note that if you pay via credit card your CC may charge you a 1% "international fee" since the billing address is OUTSIDE the US also depending on how large your order is you may have to call your CC and let them know as they will DENY the order since it's coming from Hong Kong where lots of fraud occurs.

New UVR-5 just came out double the power and a keypad. Looking forward to some internet reviews.

Yeah I saw that too! :xmad: It even had a KEYPAD!!!
The vendor we deal with is trying to get a hold of them as well.
Looks like a nice upgrade but it won't be $50 more like $75 to $100 so it's not a starter unit but more for someone that is more serious into getting into HAM.

Sailor, Thanks for the heads up. I am going to wait for reviews before ordering.

If anyone in NWI would like my book on the Ham Radio License Exam send a PM. All I ask is that you pass it on to someone else when you are done with it.
