What's this about a 12 gauge at the airport? Reducing to the absurd? Just trying to rile everyone up? Makes me want to walk around the Circle with a shotgun now.

The only time I've had a shotgun in the airport is in a case.

I'm pretty sure the dude that asked "Uhmm, uhmm, what are you guys talking about, I just got off work, what did this new law do?" was NOT an INGOer.:dunno: :ingo: :D
Oh, yeah, him! I was on hold when he got through.

Tell you what, Guy, you seem to have a real knack for explaining complex topics in simple terms. Even though we strayed from the Preemption topic, I think folks learned a lot.

I do hope the airport guy follows up with you later!

Is there any truth to what mister, "I used to have a FFL, which means I have the same license as a DeltaFBIChiefDoorGunnerCIAuntouchableTexasRanger", had to say?

I wish Guy wasn't precluded from commenting on the downtown incident. That situation is fraught with pitfalls, any way you turn.

Yeah, I found that a little suspect. I thought an FFL was a license to SELL firearms? Granted I haven't looked into it, but I'd like to know.

Sometimes people think they understand an exemption and get a little carried away.:D

Maybe it was the same guy from this encounter:

...he said "I have an FFL, I can carry through the middle of an airport if I want." :orly: I stopped in my tracks and turned around and said "Oh really?!" The man responded: "Yep! I've had an FFL for 23 years and I can carry wherever I want."...

Follow the quoted link for the rest. It's funny, :): but in a sad pathetic sorta way. :(
