I went Saturday and I hadn't been to a show in probably 10 years. I used to go to get better deals, but what I saw were over priced retail?? WTF. Whats the purpose of having one.....

I went Sunday around noon. I saw a few good deals on some older odd guns but also saw some outlandish prices on Colts and older S&Ws! I know prices are climbing on some of those guns but these prices were just way out of line. I saw two different guys with NIB Norinco 1911s for $550 and $600 respectively. You rarely see those anymore let alone 2 NIB guns. Only thing I really wanted was a CZ452 American in 17HMR for $420. The guy only wanted cash though and I needed to trade for it. Also saw a guy walking around with a like NEW P7 for $700! This being broke stuff is really starting to suck!!!:xmad::xmad::xmad:

I went, was really disappointed. I know it was a smaller show, but I did not see a single deal (in what I was looking for) I'm looking for a LC9, and I saw a guy who had 3, and was asking $449.95 plus tax, and I laughed. he said $400 + tax, and then $390 was lowest he would go. Since I can buy one at $330 or $340 ish from LGS, I told him no thanks, he told me he was the cheapest around, and I told him otherwise lol.

I considered using them for a bit - until I found this in their agreement:

By creating a Square Account, you also confirm that you will not accept payments in connection with the following businesses or business activities:

    (23) internet/mail order/telephone order firearm or weapon sales
The way I read that was I couldn't do firearm or weapon sales via internet, mail order or telephone. In person is allowed as you can verify age. I saw hat when I signed up. I carry the reader with me when I go to gun shows as I've sold a few things walking around that I probably couldn't i it had been cash only.

    over there
Sigasaurus and I made it out to the show early this AM. Good show, crowded in some areas, other than that there was room to move about... I picked up a new Colt mag for my RIA 1911, and a cheap-o Stiletto knife for the Boss Lady to throw in her hand bag. Sigasaurus picked up a couple springs for his AR builds, and a Stiletto knife too.

After milling about for a couple hrs, we made our way to John's Famous Stew for a bite to eat... +1000 for the Supreme Tenderloin, mighty tasty:rockwoot:

Man I feel like such a Luddite. I had no idea Square existed.... what a cool idea.
If I had known that, I would have tried to ply that with the kid sitting by all the Mausers. And maybe Voge, too. He always seems to have one or two rifles I want.
