There is something that stands out to me that hasn't been addressed. As a 'justification' for onerous restrictions and/or outright gun bans, the excuse has always been that we, the lawful gun owners, serve as the smorgasbord in the factory to criminal gun pipeline because the criminals procure their weapons by stealing them from us. While guns are in fact stolen and recycled into criminal activity, aside from the Smith and Wesson revolvers which have been in production since George Patton was a mess cook, the top 10 list is dominated by the cheapest guns on the face of the planet. My guess is that the criminals arming themselves by burglarizing INGO members are going to be armed with handguns, rifles, and shotguns of good quality, often reaching into the realm of truly premium weapons. It would certainly be false to say that no INGO member owns a Hi Point, but I doubt that anyone has a box full of them in lieu of having a lower number of quality weapons. This tells me that the criminals (as we have already established) are arming up courtesy of a willful intermediary buying from someone whose name rhymes with 'Ron', not by stealing guns from us.

    IDEA???
Maybe since most guns used in crime are stolen, maybe a law where having a secure locked safe or something where guns cannot be removed (stolen)from home??? So if someone wants to own a gun they must first have a registered gun safe properly installed in home within code standards. That way there is a registration that must be renewed just like a car license plate. Have an inspector inspect the safe making sure its secure and of the proper safe device. It would be similar to having a drivers licesne to drive a car and a title, registration and plates to the car, but for a safe. If we can afford a gun especially the expensive assult type guns we can afford to buy a safe with registration, and the fees made by registration and inspection can be used towards gun safety, education, ect......

Not ban certain guns or taking them away, secure them better therefor reducing guns ending up on streets. Criminals dont care about 2Amendment, they just need a gun for crime. People that care and responsible will earn their rights back or just keep them in the first place.

That is a truly terrible idea. According to the BATF as quoted by PBS, only between 10 and 15 percent of guns used in crimes are stolen. Second, we are talking about a constitutional right, not a conditional privilege. Once you open this door (i.e., agreeing that it is conditional) the conditions will get progressively more onerous until they become a de facto ban. You can saw or torch through a safe, so why not require a steel-reinforced concrete vault of the quality fit for a bank? Perhaps the house should be required to be constructed in a manner impenetrable by criminals? Maybe we should be required to store our guns at an approved secure facility, perhaps private, or perhaps with the police? Of course, then again, we could revisit the Second Amendment and see that this is an infringement which is prohibited (fact that the Constitution is routinely ignored notwithstanding).
