Finished up a 1911 project on a Mil-spec I got that had seen better days. It had some amateurish mods done that I discarded such as drop-in beavertail, extended slide release and a few other odds and ends. I took it and fit an S&A beavertail, new mainspring housing that was beveled and fit to the frame, recontoured and thinned thumb safety, re-fit the aluminum trigger, carry bevel, trigger job, 20 lpi checkering, 40lpi serrations on the rear of the slide, tuned up the extractor. It's ready to be dropped of to AllenM for refinishing.

Very nice! This is the same color scheme I selected for a Kimber TLE that I recently dropped and damaged. AllenM has it now and is almost to the point of cerakoting with black graphite. Thanks for sharing. Except now I'm even more anxious to get mine back, even though I did ask Allen to take his time. :D
