no jewelry, no fancy watches, keep multiple copies of the passport handy, try to pick up some French.. wear drab simple clothes and take your meds until you get used to the place. She shouldn't go out alone, don't eat fruit off the rind. I mean the list goes on. A country that has nothing will want everything. if she knows how to defend herself have her put her hair up in a Metal pick....some countries freak out about foreigners with weapons. We went to mexico and we kept masterlocks tied to cloth napkins hanging from out pockets as a sd tool. .....we were in bad mexico.
