    Article only lists these other finalists:

    former first lady and human rights activist Eleanor Roosevelt; civil rights figure Rosa Parks; and Wilma Mankiller, the first female chief of the Cherokee Nation

    Isn't Wilma still kickin'?

    Doh! No, passed 5 years ago.

    And after forcing them into Oklahoma;

    In 1942, during World War II, the United States Army exercised eminent domain for military purposes and took over the land of 45 Cherokee families, including the Mankillers, in order to expand Camp Gruber."

    No matter how "worthless" it is, if .gov wants it, it's theirs!

    "Campaign organizers are targeting the 20 because 2020 will mark the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote."
    Harriet Tubman didn't help women get the right to vote. If that's what they are going for, it needs to be someone else. Harriet never played a part in that act, however, she is a very important woman in history.

    I can certainly think of worse choices for a female on American currency.

    Nothing against Harriet Tubman, but why the change?

    Both of the above sum up the entirety of reasonable opinions on the matter.

    That said, I feel like we have a vested interest in fighting this. How much is the .gov going to spend updating the designs? How many of OUR tax dollars will they spend revising OUR money without OUR initiative?

    A group that wants to kick Andrew Jackson off of the $20 bill and replace him with a woman has, after months of collecting votes, chosen a successor: Harriet Tubman.

    Jackson would be honored if he was removed from a illegal currency that is counterfeited by a 3rd central Bank The Federal Reserve. He campaigned and won to get rid of the second central bank he is probably rolling in his grave that his face is on there currency presently. (second and third is relative.)

    Okay, since they want Andrew J. off the twenty largely because of how he treated American Indianans, surely the same moonbats will advocate that FDR's likeness be removed from the dime because of how he interred Americans of Japanese descent, right?
    Or we should remove Jefferson and Washington from the nickel, quarter, and $1 bill because they owned slaves?
    Since we're going to totally succumb to political correctness, let's also take Benjamin Franklin off the $100 bill, even though he freed the slaves he owned and became an abolitionist, since everyone knows that not even centuries and no family ancestry related to slavery excuses Americans living today.

    HT checks off two aggrieved groups. Any chance she was a lesbian as well? A third group would be a real bonus.
