I don't know much about them, but I'm told my mother's side of the family came from Wales, probably in the early 1800's. Of course, Wales gave us Tom Jones, so we should all have appreciation for Wales!

We used to go to the Military ranges in Brecon. She could do a double-tap on the standing man targets in the driving rain - she never missed !! Makes me sad she can't have a little self-loading carbine for around the house 8>)

Catherine Zeta Jones was born here and has a house about a mile away.
Anthony Hopkins (hannibal Lecter) is from a town near my work.
The author Kingsley Amis lived in this village a couple of decades ago. His son was at my school.
Dylan Thomas the poet is from here.
The Man band, The Badfinger Band.
Harry Seacombe comedian (The Goon Show)
And guitarist Richie Blackmore's dad was from Swansea.
Minnie Driver's dad was from Swansea. He is a big shot in some business in the US.
