The CZ 97 is a great gun. I owned one for a while. They are a tad on the big side. I also have nothing but good things to say about the FNP. I own two, and hope to own the .45 model some day.
I bought and sold a few .45 M&Ps. Gladly, I am back to carrying an M&P .45 and will do so for quite sometime. I think of money that I lost buying and selling, I could have purchased another one for keeps
Got a chance to hold the FNP .45 and that is definitely the way I will be going. It is a narrow double-stack that fits my hand perfectly; the price is good and there are no reliability issues.
In order to operate a tactical light on that rail, you'd have to have your thumb or finger on the switch, which would expose it to the flash from the cylinder gap when firing. I guess you could just turn the light on and leave it on, but that's not very tactical. But then again, neither is a 5 shot revolver.
Practicality aside, the guy who came up with that rail for the Judge is a marketing whiz. They'll sell thousands.
