    I dig it.

Eotech mounted on top of carry handle would move some weight backwards if that's a problem.
Stubby broomstick may help it just look more streamlined, but that's the price you pay for surefire integral units.

    But no...its kosher.

It's cool, but I'm kinda old school so a bit much for me. To be honest it's what ever turns you on and you have some neat s#*t there. I just bought an Oly AR from a guy with a flat-top, scope, bull bbl & bipod. I'm just gonna get a different upper. That's the beauty of the AR I think.

    Honestly?

I'd take off the eotec, the vertical grip and probably the light too and put a M1 sling on it.

I shoot a lot of loop sling prone and loop sling seated with my AR and I can't imagine having all that stuff getting in my way.

But, you might not use your AR the way I use my AR. The AR is not my go-to gun when something goes bump in the night or for close quarters, so your mileage may vary.

Can you see the eotech clearly the way it's mounted?

Suprisingly, yes, I can also use the iron sights :rockwoot:

This is an issued rifle from my department. I just got it a few weeks ago and it was equiped with a Surefire M500 light. I really missed having the grip on the front end and so my project began. I went with the Surefire M900a being it had the grip and light combo. Just got the Eotech today ... but with not having a detachable handle... I had to deal with it. She goes out tomorrow morning to zero in the sight.

I did consider buying a new upper for it, until the wife found out :draw:
    Thanks for the comments. :ingo:
