    *sigh* LOL

Sorry about that! I didn't even know about that bridge. I've been past Darlington many times on HWY 47 on the motorcycle on trips to Turkey Run or Shades. I'll try to get a better pic on my next trip, IF I remember to check out the bridge, and IF I remember this thread. I'm officially an old fart now, so memory is not as good as it once was.

No worries, man. It's one of the furthest NW covered bridges in Indiana. There are some further north for sure...just doesn't seem like many.

It's all fenced off now. I can't recall if it's slated to be restored, demolished, or taken apart and moved somewhere else. Regardless - it is indeed all fenced off now.

I go by Darlington on HWY 47 also on my bike when coming home from shooting at Atlanta Conservation Club IDPA. If you turn south at the gas station on 47 you hit IND 32 just east of I-74. The last mile or so before 32 is wild with curves. Jim.

We see this one off of Highway 59 on the way to Linton, somewhere north of Clay City. Has a cluster of trailers on the east side. We swung around to the other side and snapped a pic.

Where ever my GPS says I am
Took these Thursday, Rode to Bridgeton and Mansfield on a short ride. Wasn't too short because I spent almost an hour talking to Mike at the Mill.

This Mill used to be privately owned and ran right. Open almost every weekend. Now the state owns it and barely has it open. It had a wheel, which they gave away. People caused an uproar so they had a new one built. The one already fell apart. The Wheel does not power the mill and is not original anyway.

Either going to bring my oldest daughter to Mansfield or Bridgeton to play in the creek this summer.

There is something neat about stone foundations on buildings.

I remember when you could drive all through down here. Now they have it set up for festivals and all. I know it is private property, but the whole area could be used better. Mansfield used to be a nice area all summer but from the looks, it is just a festival space now.

This is the East Hill Cemetery bridge on IN 44E over Flatrock River east of Rushville. This is similar construction to the Circleville bridge. It was also replaced with concrete around 1939-1940.
