I watch Magpul videos and eat Twinkies.

My knowledge comes from asking questions, hands on experience, training, good teachers and instructors, and reading. ...and my job

I like to buy a new gun, that is of interest to me. Tear it down, see how it works, learn the history of it, put a few hundred rounds through it, then decide what to do with it.

If I like it, I'll keep it, if not, I'll trade it off for the next candidate, over which I will obsess for a few weeks.

Via INGO and Arfcom, I have at my fingertips the knowledge base necessary to learn about any new gun I stumble across. It's a hobby full of way more than I could ever know, so it is a constant challenge to learn more, that will never run out.

Even though I pretty much read anything I can get my hands on all my life, I learned a lot through 40 years of trial, experimentation and failure. I am just lucky to have lived long enough to learn from my failures.

Never be afraid to appear ignorant if you are. You're trying to remedy that, and reasonable people will understand that. If someone doesn't understand that, why should you care?

Hah, knowledge is not a prerequisite for posting here. It's like poker, you play the cards you want other people to think you have :)

Oh, and ATM is never wrong and that is his actual photo, not an avatar.

um..is that Mr Evilwrench's real photo too?? If so I am very confused!:n00b:

:) no, it's Bettie Page. She's considered the most photographed model in history, and stopped modeling before I was born. She died a year or so back. Interesting and tragic story if you find the time to look.

    listen

Get to know others with knowledge in things you have an interest.
Listen to and learn from their experiences positive and otherwise.
    Always remember...
Like my dad always said "you listen with your mouth closed"
