I think a gun going off in a confined space like that would cause more distortion in the mic. Maybe not I don't typically shoot guns in the house. I did try to throw an m80 out the bathroom window once and missed and that was real loud.

A year or two ago there was a story circulating about a couple who wanted to try out their new AR15. They decided to set up a target in front of some boxes, in front of the washing machine.
They shot down the hallway of their 2nd floor APARTMENT!

I do not recall the damages, but I believe the two were arrested for illegally discharging a firearm.

That too. Notice the gelatin had more than one hole in it? Slow learner. Someday I'll tell on myself about the .308 grenade blank I shot in my basement. Oh, wow!!!!!!
