How often do you dream of having a 'defensive gun use' situation?

I was thinking the same thing. I watch factory training videos which are important for correct hand placement for my carry, and practice with my carry and holster to build muscle memory. Quick draw with finger at the side, hand placement and line of sight, trigger reset, grouping. I never had a gun dream so there might be something to feeling confident.

Hilarity ensues.

Well....yeah......pretty confident. It takes lots of practice.

I wish I slept soundly enough to remember a dream. I don't recall a having a memorable dream but maybe once every 3-4 years.

I think to remember a dream, you have to wake up in the middle of it, or within a certain time frame.

Had a couple a long time ago... I had a .380 that would stove pipe on certain ammo... I would have the DGU dream and that .380 would jam or stove pipe in the dream. Got rid of it.

Trained more, reloaded more, bad dream go bye bye...

I've never had a dream where firearms are involved. I have been licensed and have carried daily for 45 years. I worked armored truck for 3 years. I work in armed security now and am an NRA Certified Basic Handgun Instructor. Go figure ?!

Well maybe it was this thread, but I had one of those dreams last night.

I was coming into some goverment building. There were armed guards with ARs at the doors. As we got in, there was some commotion in the hallways and somehow we all knew we were going to be attacked.

I pulled out my Ruger LCP and was hiding in the middle of the room with all the other civilians. Somehow I knew they were going to be throwing in some flash bangs. All the guys with the big guns were by the doors. There were 2 entrances.

Three armed men came in after the flashbangs. I had kept my eyes closed so I could still see. From 20-30 feet and I shot one guy in the head 3x and each of the other 2 guys in the head once.

Oh oh and I didn’t have a round in the chamber when I got there. But I had plenty of time to rack the slide before the fun began.

The trigger weight is always too heavy in my dreams. It’s odd, never have the strength to pull it back in most dreams...
