Imagine the robber, who appears very polite, running up against a clerk also armed. This could have had a horrible or worse outcome. Yep ... a little comical but also a whole lot sad.

Yep. Also, Mr. nice guy was extremely relaxed and in control in the middle of a robbery.
Wasn't acting figety at all. That seems pretty cold and calculating.
I would not have been surprised if he leveled the gun at the attendant and opened up on him.

I also noticed that the robber did not point the firearm at the teller and kept it pointed in a safe direction. The robber must have received proper firearms training???

Glad no one was hurt. Tough times but committing crimes could still be avoided.

Sheesh, look at all you guys.

This old man's name is Gregory Paul Hess, and he is a convicted felon with a record that includes convictions for armed robbery and forgery.

But if you look when he pays for his coffee, it is $1 and change and he puts the $1 bill in the same section that he doesn't give to the guy. Possible that he kept the $1's just to not maximize losses?

Almost surreal watching this... An armed cashier could have pulled steel on the robber and dropped him like a sack of sh*t claiming he feared for his life seeing a gun and that's how it would have end <except for the security camera>. All is well that ends well, though.

the store owner cheat the robber, he left the big bills inside of the register, not fair to such nice bandit. lol.

The cashier gave the robber everything but the 1's.

As ryang pointed out, the coffee was "a dollar three (or a dollar thirty)" and that dollar went to the far right side; that means that Mr. Nice-Robber got all of the 20's, 10's and 5's.

I thought the same thing. I think the robber took quite a risk being so lackadaisical. It was lucky he picked a cashier that was as equally laid back as himself.
