Hey I traded an $8.99 brick of Winchester Wildcats, 500 rnds (bought at Quality Farm & Fleet, now TSC) for a slightly used ACU Point Blank body armor, capable of stopping 38 and 9mm. When I looked at what the vest cost new online ($1999.00+) I felt the deal was worth it. Sitting on 10,000+

2 summers ago, when it was REALLY scarce, we were on vacation near the Wisconsin Dells. They had a new Super Walmart, that had opened within 6 months. They had the 555 and 333 boxes of Federal on the shelf.... 90+ boxes of 555 and 60+ of the 333!!! I thought I had found the end of a rainbow.....LOL. I was able to even convince the wife to go back and buy her 3 box limit!!!!

I've been a ammunition hoarder. I had about 60 k when everything went crazy 5 years or so ago. I donated a bunch to 4H shooting programs. When people were desperate for shells, I'd give them a box or 2. If they had kids with them, I'd give a little more. I'm older and just don't shoot as much anymore, and hated to see gouging going on. Still got about 35k left, I'll probably never buy anymore 22lr.

Just recently started shooting .22's and I already have around 5k rounds. Mostly the cheaper stuff, but it all runs through my S&W Victory decently. Looking forward to getting more while I can still find deals for 5 and 6 cents a round.

Ive always had a decent amount of 22lr just from use a training caliber over the years, but when the crunch hit I pretty much stopped using it and then just bought a box or two as I seen it available. Now really has me considering buying another 10/22 to replace the one I sold during the crunch. I see it pretty regularly at my LGS for reasonable prices as well as Bass pro were I live. I just wish 22WMR would get back to were it was, I unfortunately don't have much at all left :(.

When the Obama Crunch came through, I had about 10k rounds of CCI Mini Mags and sold off half of them. I wasn't buying to sell, I just had them and decided the price was good enough for me to part with some.

I have been stocking up lately and feel pretty good about my stockpile. I just ran through about 200 of them on Saturday at the conservation club.

I shoot Mini Mags through my modern stuff and CCI Standard Velocity through my antique .22s.

I bailed out of 22 during the panic. Traded the guns off for ammo. The ammo I had went on our garage sale. Sold like hot cakes!

Last inventory I took beginning of the year I had right at 20,000 rds, mixed cheap plinking fodder, mid range target, and hunting ammo. Since then I've gotten rid of the cheap stuff and added a bunch of the mid range target along with a smaller amount of higher end match ammo. Probably pushing 30k in the stockpile now. Now to just get my back healed up enough to where I actually feel like shooting.

Norma TAC-22 is available from MidSouth for about 8 cents a round, delivered. I've been pretty happy with the accuracy, enough so that I'll be ordering another brick, here n' there.

I'm sitting on a deep inventory of .22LR and in no hurry to replace any that I've been moving along.
I'm only keeping the brand that works in particular rifles now.
Thankfully I've only got 9 .22 rifles and only 3 types/brands of ammo needed for them.
I've got a bunch of old Winchester Wildcat that is great ammo in my best rifles. It's even got the Sportsman's trading Cards in the bricks. Cool Stuff.

Cabela's in Hammond actually had some good prices Saturday, cheaper than Walmart next door.

Just picked up a couple of 525 round Federal 22lr for $21 (rounded off) a box. That is the cheapest I have seen 22 lr in quite a while.

I haven't bought any 22 ammo since fall 2012 except some match Eley. Still living off the stash from pre panic and it's not much left maybe 3-5k at most. It is good to know I can find it. It might be time to drag out the 10-22's, maybe get a bolt or a lever gun too.

I'm waiting for some bigger sales this weekend online to stock up on some more. In the past I've come to rely on getting my hands on federal auto-match and currently that's what everything I own is zeroed to so I'm sticking with it.

From what I've seen out there this deal on 3250 rounds for $190 shipped looks like the best I've seen out there in a long time. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/federal-automatch-22-lr-ammo-40-grain-lrn-am22-p-1967.aspx Assuming I don't start seeing better deals advertised over the weekend I'm probably going to buy some of that.
