Imagine the field day we'd be having if we had a democratic President who had 5 children by 3 women, was a serial adulterer, was a deadbeat who didn't pay his contractors, who was pro gun control, who'd never attended a church, who referred to his daughter as "a fine piece of *ss", and who helped an eastern European nude model & escort violate immigration law. The left doesn't have a monopoly on hypocrisy.

You have got to be joking. If there's hypocrisy here, it's from a certain segment of the right.... specifically evangelicals. They raked Clinton over the coals, and have been preaching their particular brand of "Family Values," for the past half-century. Those values, revolving around the traditional "core" family. I think we agree that the Left has traditionally not observed such, no? Evangelical Christian voters, if they are willing to give Trump a pass on this, are seemingly not as committed to the ideals they have championed for years anymore.

I don't know that I would be considered "evangelical" the way the term is used in politics, but I am a Christian...

There is a difference between an affair, and an affair with an intern who reports to you.
If my boss had an affair, I would think how sad that is, feel bad for everyone involved and say a prayer for the family. If my boss had an affair with a subordinate, I would want him removed from his position as that is a considerable ethics violation.

He certainly doesn't get a "pass" for his actions, but I do see a differentiation between Him and Clinton in terms of whether his actions should impact his career. People can, and do, get fired for that kind of activity in the business world.

What is this whore trying to accomplish by talking about their affair publicly? I'm certainly not a fan of someone having an extramarital affair, but I have just as much contempt for someone that would violate a private relationship simply for personal gain. I guess if you hang out in the gutter, you're going to collect a lot of trash.

Do you think ANYONE expected different from Pres. Trump?
Going into the race he was being accused of grabbing body parts of anything female with 2 legs. He sponsors beauty contests, marries beautiful women (plural), and is a moth drawn to the flame for attractive nookie.
I did NOT like Billy Clinton but I didn't hold the Monica thing against him. NO married man in his right mind is going to 'fess up about soaking his cigars and ruining blue dresses.
    Can anyone say POLITICS?
Hypocrisy is a prerequisite for politicians or at least political parties.
The days of holding politicians in a higher esteem have long disappeared.
Anything negative against a politician in power will be used against them IF even the smallest hint of truth can be found and spun to another's advantage or leverage.
I'm not going to put Trump on any pedestal other than beating Hillary for office.
I'm NOT impressed so far and if he's going to try to play politics he'd better learn politics.

    Wait.

Let me get this straight. (TWSS)

We're now holding up Bill Clinton as a "that's not so bad" deal? Do we care anymore about whether presidents are interested in keeping promises? When I say "we" I mean Republicans or conservatives or just decent normal people.

Granted, this isn't really news as to Trump. Like Clinton, everyone understood he was a lech when they voted for him in the primaries and the general election.

But when we look at hypocrisy, are we talking about looking in a collective mirror?

My thoughts exactly. What's she looking for? Hardly enough there for a book or movie. I watched her closely and have trouble buying it. She said he didn't use a condom. Does that mean she hoped for a pregnancy? IMO the only motive is money, probably well coached by the Dems.

I admire JFK for his war record, but shake my head at him skinny dipping with nude women when Jackie was out of town. This stuff is hardly new.

The last one never had a real job, is a homo! This one our Donald is a big businessman. Is fixing things the last one screwed up! Irrespective of anything, I voted for him, I will vote for him again.

He works 14 hour days, the last one put his new shoes on a 200-year-old antique desk. This one works on it.

What do we want from a President? Chase MS13, build the wall, the Military, the border patrol, and don't tell ISIS when he is taking the troops out. Firing a bunch of Cruise Missiles, on his dinner break? That was a nice touch.

I hope this was an attempt at humor, because I'm laughing.... especially at the 14 hour work day. And homo? Do you mean "homo sapien," or are you conveying some sort of negative opinion of gay people. Sorry 'bout the desk, but I guess at least he was wearing "new" shoes. I wonder if the other presidents were wearing "new" shoes too?

I specified "evangelicals." Are you one of them? If you are, then it's understandable why the so fiercely opposed Clinton... but baffling why they haven't done the same with Trump.

That's fine. I haven't seen you rail on about Evangelical beliefs as being why you vote the way you do. When a person does that, it's very hard for them to justify their support for Trump... because saying "he's doing what I like, legislatively," just doesn't cut it.

Respectfully, do you have the same disdain for feminists that support Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, et al???

There was no intern that reported on Clinton... Linda Tripp, a third party, did that.

Another thought about the Clinton issue: the Starr investigation started out regarding the Whitewater deal. That's legitimate.

It then transitioned to an investigation as to whether Clinton lied under oath in a deposition about having an affair.

Talk about mission creep. (Pardon the pun.)

I'm not sure how to avoid hypocrisy when the Russia Russia Russia investigation transitions to investigating whether Trump has committed a similar "high crime or misdemeanor" as a lie under oath in a deposition.

What is the meaning of "is?"

Ok, you can nit the words "report to." Just like I don't report to the CEO of my company. Got it. Still not appropriate, IMO.

My "meh" approach to Trump is similar to my "meh" approach to JFK and Monroe. Potentially using your power/influence on a college intern on your staff is different than using it on a Hollywood starlet, IMO.

I didn't like B.Clinton from the moment he picked up the sax on Johnny Carson.
Being from the south I immediately recognized the "Good old boy" image of a southern chicken thief, baby kissing, lying sob, that doesn't know the definition of morality.
Gore was our local representative and then Senator. That in itself reinforced my thinking about Billy.

Anyone pretending that hypocrisy exists primarily on the other side (whatever side that may be for you) is kidding themselves. Tribalism-driven hypocrisy is the norm - especially in the political arena. There is always some BS excuse why it is different when your guy does it from when The Enemy does it.

I've disliked Trump since long before he went into politics, but fully admit to have taken no small measure of perverse pleasure in the noses he has tweaked and the panties he has bunched (no, I mean the other way). Even so, at heart he is an easily swayed, left-leaning New Yorker with a big mouth, a small vocabulary and no principles. He's done a few things I've liked and a ton I've hated and I can't let myself get defensive of his many, many faults just because he's not Hillary. He's a marginal improvement over Clinton or Obama, but if ever there were damning by faint praise, that is it.

When Trump is confirmed to have lied uder oath a/k/a committed perjury, I will support his impeachment, just as I supported Clinton's impeachment.

They are both morally bankrupt in their personal lives. Clinton brought it into his public life and if Trump does that...

Politically, I didn't like many of Clinton's positions (NAFTA and welfare reform being exceptions). I like many more of Trump's positions. Therefore, i voted for Trump, and not for Clinton.

I think a lot of people are in the same boat I am. Hypocrisy? Don't think so.
