Okay so i finally took the leap into reloading. I have everything i need as of now. Except for bullets and primers. Im wanting to order some 9mm in bulk. They have to be jacketed because of my stock Glock barrel. I was looking for atleast 1000 bullets. Anybody know of some good deals. I -remember seeing some for 78-85 a few months ago. As far as primers....would it be better just to buy them local and save on the hasmat fee?

Buy a lonewolf barrel, and call bkbullets in Peru for your cast bulllets, you will save enough to pay for the barrel in no time. He may sell you primers also. He has the best cast bullet prices that I could find locally.

At the present time, I find jacketed bullets from Montana Gold, Zero (see Roze Distribution or PowderValley), and Precision Delta to be priced with plated and the more expensive cast bullets for 9mm.
The "best" deal in my opinion is to order from Montana Gold in Bulk:
    115gn FMJ: $105/1000 or $298/4000 (eq. to $74.50/1000)
    115gn JHP: $107/1000 or $310/4000
121gn IFP (the same as the 115gn JHP, but no HP): $107/1000 or $310/3800
    124gn FMJ: $106/1000 or $300/3750
124gn JHP (my preferred bullet): $114/1000 or $308/3750
    147gn CMJ: $129/1000 or $313/3000

For those prices, I can't see buying the expensive companies's cast bullets.
You can check out MasterCastBullets.com or Missouri Bullet Company for inexpensive but high quality cast bullets.

BK bullets is on the easy side of Peru. MIDWAYUSA.com has blemish bullets on sale right now, I'm not sure if they have any 9mm but its worth a look. I would also Google Rocky Mountain Reloading and check there as well.

Thanks for the links guy. Now i have some shopping to do.

As far as primers... Does anybody know any local stores that would have them? Maybe Big R? Or just go to some gun shops and look?

Try the Penn Bullets site. Their premium bullets are rated to 1600fps without leading. If you don't get crazy with your powder charges you won't need the aftermarket barrel either.

Im still a little worried about the lead in the Glock barrel. Its also my carry gun so i dont want to mess it up any.

BTW...whats the most youd spend on 1000 primers?

For CCI or Winchester you should be able to find them under $40/1000; I think I ended up getting like 5000 from Grafs for like $90-$120 or something like that when they had one of their sales but I did a bulk buy with my father-in-law and bought like 10K of them.
