Yesterday was my birthday, and yes turning 40 gets better year after year.My wife and children presented me with $1200. So i am now looking for a new addition to my collection. I'm a big Springfield fan so i already have the XDs and XD in .40 and .45, so i'm looking for something a little diffrent. Want to keep it around $1200 but no more then $1500. So if you were in my shoes, what would you buy?:ingo:

CONGRADS to you go get your self a HK USP 45 ! nice and smooth squeeze the trigger don't pull it. :patriot:

Another fine option along that line of thinking is the HK P30 in .40 S&W. I made the mistake of handling one the week after Christmas. It fit like it was custom molded for my hand. I just couldn't bring myself to leave the store without it.

The better news is that it fires even better than it feels!

I would be be checking out a springfield 1911 operator MC. They look really nice, but i haven't been able to handle one yet. Saw one in a shop 1 time, they caught my interest a week later, and it was gone by the time i went back to check it out...

I turned 50 last summer and celebrated it by buying a AR50 50cal. Sounded logical to be. what the heck, go for a 40 and get a 50 on the 50th :-) The 60th is going to be an issue.

Happy birthday friend! Shouldn't you be looking for something in a .40...? ...you know, because your old?

    Juuuustt messing with you.:D

If I had that, I'd be buying a Sig P938 with night sights. I am, however, a sucker for subcompacts.
