IL murderer in Lowell, IN ~ massive manhunt NOW, schools locked down

Got a call from my wife. She teaches at the Lowell, IN high school and told me they are under "lockdown" until the sheriff says the kids can be released. Kids are not even allowed to leave the classroom to change class.

There is a short, vague, article on the internet from the local paper, but to sum it up, it says someone from WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS murdered someone there, the crossed the state line and entered southern LAKE COUNTY, IN (right where I live) and shot a rural resident (no indication if the shooting victim survived) and is presumed to be in the area of the town (5 miles east of my home).

Sheriff helicopters are overhead, sheriff cars are backing up local Lowell police, Indiana State Police are also on the perimeter (closest ISP post is 5 miles east of town). Looks to be a big deal.

UPDATE ~ school bus driver just tole me the suspect is presumed to be heading north on/in the vicinity of CLINE AVE.

Farmer who was shot is ALIVE, in stable condition.

I just got an email about this from my work and was about to post it.

According to my workplace the suspect is a white male in his 30's driving a light colored GMC/Chevy pickup truck

I have no idea if the truck he is driving is the farmer's truck. I was told it is light grey in color but no clue otherwise. I'm in Illinois (unarmed) now getting ready to head toward rural Lowell (I will be locked and loaded at the state line). Waiting to hear back from my wife.
