An Illinois State Police crash reconstruction report concluded Dorian was traveling between 83 mph and 100 mph -- well above the 55-mph speed limit -- at the time his GMC truck crashed into Dylan's car.

Hum.. another IL LEO that drives too fast and crashes. Just like that ISP that was speeding as well and killed 2 girls in southern IL and was not found guilty and is now filing for worker's comp.

I have heard through the rumor mill that all Will County had was an ID on a photo line-up. They did recover a handgun from the officer they believed may have been involved. Following a ballistic test the weapon they recovered did not match the evidence.

This is why the Lake Couny Prosecutors Office has waited and never filed charges in the case. Again, this is unconfirmed information.

I saw that. That means the real shooter is out there. I would have thought that they would at least have prints from the shooting in lowell, didn't he give Mr. Dahl a piece of paper?

Just saw the update on WGN CH 9. Will County States Attorney offered a public apology to Brian Dorian and his family for the mistake. State Attorney said Dorian is happy he is cleared following the investigation but concerned the killer was still out there.

The local newspaper coverage had this guy pretty much convicted and was running his picture on the front page daily.

Today's Gary Post Tribune has an article saying he was going to court today and that a witness identified him.

Edit to add Gary Post web page and the first two stories are about him being turned loose, fifth story down about a witness identifying this guy. Who the hell knows.

Post #134 on this thread pretty much summed it up for me. I didn't think he matched either of the sketches from the start. The stories I've seen this evening so far say that the witness identified him from a picture line up, not in person.
