They don't have to pass anything. To vote "for" one of these proposals, of matter how neutered it is, will be anathema to these people.

Think of it like this: Can you see Diane Feinstein voting FOR a CCW bill? Same sort of people here. But it's fascinating seeing them squirm and maneuver for position.

Some, however, will be in the nearly impossible position of voting YES for a gun allowing law or allowing guns by voting NO. At least the no vote would be respectable for the anti-gunner.

Would be nice if they would just grow some balls and vote down and force them to pass an actual good bill but it wont happen.

What in the world is wrong with the way that those politicians think in Chi Town. Their current gun control obviously isn't working! Their line of thinking and trampling over our Constitutional Right angers me to no end.

I am personally interested in this as I have both of my parents in Chicago... ugh.

crime is up = more tax money needed to combat it = more jbts = more need for more laws to ban said object of hate.

One of the biggest problems with this bill is that you can't carry on CTA busses and trains. So, the mass number of folks who use those services to get to and from work in downtown Chicago, t are left defenseless. The state is telling it's citizens to choose between the convenience of our trains or your personal protection.

Chicago is saying ok fine you want to carry go ahead but while you can carry you wont be able to do so anywhere, where the public is at as that cn be dangerous.
