I was ahead of the curve classifying "Idiocracy" as a dystopian horror film.
It's even more frightening actually watching it come to pass.

It's 8 degrees outside right now, do they really think they are going to find enough people that will want this job? For some reason I still get surprised at the stupidity of government...

I was in Oregon visiting a friend and stopped to get gas. I was pumping the gas and this guy comes up and says "you cant do that"! I said do what? He said pump your own gas. At that point we both stood there thinking the other was a nut job!

I had a very similar experience in New Jersey. It's one more reason I will never go there again. They can keep it.

And what say the motorcyclist's? I for one won't let anyone near my bike for the purpose of refilling. I guess travel through Illinois has yet another reason to be considered a no go.

I thought the exact same thing when I started reading this thread. The thought of some jackass spilling gas all over my tank and engine sends a shudder down my spine.

    Not far from the tree
This seems like a good enough place to ask -:hijack:

Has anyone else noticed a rise in nozzles with the handle latched, but returned to the holder?

You know, so you put in your card, select the grade, remove the nozzle from the pump and gasoline immediately is dispensed.

And is this practice malicious or stupidity? :dunno:

Malicious. Put the nozzle in the tank FIRST. B4 carding the pump.

It's the same infantile jackass that wipes **** on the handrail in the handicapped stall.:xmad:

When I have to use a public stall, and that's not very often, I treat it like a karate tournament. I'm using feet to touch things as much as possible.

I've poured gas into a plastic cup once and the cup melted.
Did the experiment with glass and metal container as well for school project. Did not think to use plastic bags. Surprised the bags did not melt.
