I put the cherries on mine and used chunks of pineapple instead of the rings so you get more of it all over the cake. I also add walnut halves.

It makes a delicious breakfast...pretty sure it is also highly nutritious.

I am taking the hubby out for a cheeseburger in a bit so please don't eat all of the cake before we get back.

Maybe TK is allergic to pineapple and didn't want to waste his last $10 Epipen and have to start buying the $200 ones.

Dude - Do you and your mom have ESPN? :n00b:

I know of two people that are allergic to pineapple (face swells up) but they can eat fresh pineapple with no problems, just not canned.
    Weird...

I’m no doctor, but that tells me it’s not the pineapple. It’s something they use to process it. There is more in the can than just pineapple.

    .
That was my thought. Preservatives etc.

    Yep-
That's what we were thinking also. I will admit though, while in the islands, I've had REAL fresh pineapple among other fruits they grew there and that made me so spoiled. Never got close to that taste here on the mainland. :(

i get whole ones sometimes. It’s amazing how much citric acid is in fresh pineapple compared to canned.

    It is for sure.
The ones there are even better tasting then freshest whole one you'll find here. Like anything, they need to pick it so early to make the trip here. Still good though.
