The biggest thing about the fifty post rule, is that it helps keep the focus here as being a FORUM with a section for buy/sell/trade, rather than a BUY/SELL/TRADE site with a forum section. ive not been around long. I only get annoyed when the first post is something like, "hi im from indy looking for a pocket pistol"
and the second post is, "what do you guys think of the mp shield? I see one in the classifieds but it wont let me pm the owner."

Well, you've been here almost a year, so I'm sure you've seen a few "run for the classifieds".

Have you seen someone totally lose it?
Yell at everyone here, because we won't change the rules, just for them.
Act like they're getting the perfect deal, there will never ever be a deal like this, and we're causing them pain.

Usually, I try to be helpful, make suggestions, welcome them here.
If they blow up... not so much.

See I've only ever been a member of car-related vbulletin forums, and they have the eexact same requirements with regard to classifieds/pms (though usually for the opposite reasons, noobs can't wait to unload their ****ty parts in car forums).

I will say that my inability to pm people in classifieds has already saved me several hundred dollars
