No posts since February 2014. Two in the last day, both in the same thread. You guys get busted for OMVI and the cop wouldn't sprout you? How butt hurt do you have to be to hold a grudge for 6 years? Either it's major or you're just small. I'm gonna go with B

OK fellas. Lets all take a breath.

I for 1 am glad to see some of the OG's pop back in regardless even though I know what prompted it.

Our recent shooter has shown his back side to me directly before. He was told then that was it. Next one was :wavey:.....this was the next one. Kind of shows something about the person. Lets give everyone a chance OK.....:)

Due diligence refers to actions taken in his official capacity as a law enforcement officer. Was he acting in an official capacity when checking the firearm through IDACS/NCIC?

If the answer is no, he abused his authority in using the government database for his personal purposes. Where's the gun?

If the answer is yes...where's the gun? Why did he have an arrangement with a private company to deal with unclaimed firearms?

Lots of unknown information, but these are legitimate concerns.
would it make a difference if the unclaimed item was clothing? Books?

OMG, I cannot decide which is more important?

    Avatars, signatures or reputation???

    Yes.

Maybe ease up on the firearms porn :dunno:

Like Indiucky and Twitter, I've just found a new love. And, pre-COVIDs, perhaps a bit less forum going in general. But I still love (some) of you guys n gals.

It may help to note, I've absorbed a LOT of gamma radiation.

That's what made the hulk strong, right? You should be fine.

    Shenanigans! That's what!

    I also love shenanigans.

Is it typical then for them to be sitting on this since January?

Understand I don't know nothing about nothing in this case. Having done a lot of investigations, though, sometimes things take awhile. We'd have to know when the complaint was made, to who, how long it took to get assigned, how long it took to track down witnesses/victims, get statements, etc. The real holdups are usually the result of two things: One, when something has to be subpoena'd from a larger entity. Getting a subpoena can take a couple of days, maybe a week on the outside, but getting responses from larger companies can take weeks to months to nevers and you have to try again. Two, is when it's a low priority case and you keep getting higher priority cases dumped in your lap. That's why robbery clearances suffered when the same detectives also investigated shootings. Shootings took priority and often by the time you could get back to a robbery it was really cold.

Again, I don't know who or what was involved in this investigation. I'm strictly saying the timing absolutely could be coincidental. I'm not saying it *is* but only that it could be. Any other answer is purely speculation.

I lost my avatar when I stole BBI's that he Stole from me. It was on my laptop that died. I had to remake it.

That's not how I remember it, and I have several (mostly bribed) witnesses who remember it exactly how I do. Once I remind them of what they remember.

I read those details in the Star...

The Star could print the secret to eternal youth and Sofia Vergara's secret nudes and I wouldn't read it there. They can eat a giant bowl of wieners.

The problem is Indiana isn't a finders keepers state.

Marion County is, at least per the prosecutor. They will not file on found property that isn't returned. Leave your wallet in a hotel room? MCPO won't file theft if the cleaning lady takes it. Now, I understand having a car towed is different since you didn't intentionally abandoned your property, but just as a point of interest.
